Helping Our Community

Dear Church Family,

The lockdown that has taken place at our local universities came quickly, leaving many stranded as far as food goes. So, we are asking you to join us in bringing blessing into some of these lives by making a financial gift to underwrite the cost of gifts cards that can be used to order groceries online and have them delivered.

Here are the details:

  • Our first focus will be the residents of Magee House on the UNB Campus

  • There are 70 units in that building, largely populated by families of UNB's international students

  • Many are understandably without groceries given the short notice of the lockdown

  • We want to purchase a $50 gift card for each family

  • In faith, we will do this tonight and have them delivered, through UNB staff, Wednesday afternoon

  • Therefore, our fundraising goal is $3,500 for this 'love in action' ministry

  • Whatever you can give will be welcome and we are confident that, in true BSBC spirit, you will get behind this project

How to give

  • You can give through eTranfer to giving@bsbc.nb.ca marking your gift "UNB Students"

  • You can also give through the Sunday offering OR by dropping your gift at the church office

Serving our community

Through the weekly e-newsletter we will keep you apprised of how the campaign is going. As a church family, we have been talking a lot about connecting with our community.

Here is one way to meet an immediate need and show the love of Christ at a time of deep distress, bringing some "light" to darkened spirits.

A way for BSBC to love in a very practical way.

A way for our faith in a generous God to be mirrored in a generous act.

Thank you for your response,

Ken Reimer & Pastor Greg
