MONDAYS
Senior’s Exercise • 10 – 11 am

The Senior’s Exercise class is a gentle group exercise glass that is designed for seniors. This class will focus on strength, stretching, balance and recovery with low-impact mindfulness. Our class runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 am. A small fee will be collected to pay our instructors. For more information, please contact Nancy Hughey at nhms@nb.sympatico.ca.
55+ Luncheon • Noon – 2 pm

Formerly known as Seniors Luncheon, the 55+ Luncheon meets on the third Monday of the month from September to June, unless it conflicts with special events. Our target group is our church family and their friends in the 55-plus age grouping. We have a time of fellowship, a meal prepared on site, light entertainment and a short devotional. Guests are encouraged to pre-register so that the Kitchen Krew has an idea of numbers for our meal prep, however, we always plan food for unregistered guests. Our Kitchen Krew meet from 8:30 am – 2:30 pm in the Main Kitchen, and our guests meet from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm in the gym.
Women’s Missionary Society • 2 – 3:30 pm

We will have a speaker, devotional, prayer, and fellowship time. New ladies are always welcome. We look forward to seeing you there.

Quilters for Missions • 1:30 – 3 pm

Quilters for Missions, formerly The Myrtle Burden Missions Circle, has been active for well over 50 years. Anyone interested in quilting or learning to quilt is welcome to join us. We meet Tuesdays at 1:30 pm in the quilting room on the second floor. Once a month, we start at noon for a lunch, devotional, and a very short business meeting. DivorceCare • 6:30 – 8:30 pm

If you know someone who is going through marital separation or divorce, invite them to consider joining our 13-week DivorceCare program, a ministry which will begin on Tuesdays, Sept. 12, at 6:30 p.m. in the Family Room of Brunswick Street Baptist Church.
Each evening includes the presentation of videos with expert counsellors sharing insights on how to move from hurting to healing. In addition, supportive conversation provides encouragement to participants led by Gloria Tranquilla, Pauline Harvey, and Bryan McWilliam. Each session stands on its own so participants can join any week.

Church Family Potluck • 5:15 – 6:30 pm
Ongoing to Dec. 13, 2023, and Jan. 10 – May 15, 2024, Gym
Come and join our church family for a potluck dinner in the gym on Wednesday evenings. Bring your favorite dish whether it be salad, cookies, cake, fruit, or meatballs. This is an intergenerational event – babies to seniors – come and get to know each other! Invite a friend to come for supper. Setup starts at 5 pm, participants start gathering at 5:15 pm and sit down for dinner at 5:30 pm. Enjoy your dinner and cleanup finishes at 6:30 pm. Youth Bible Study (Grade 6 – 12) 6:30 – 8 pm

Scouting Boys Elementary (Ages 5 – 10 years) • 6:30 – 8 pm

BSBC offers a scouting program for boys from kindergarten to Grade 5. Outdoor adventures, fun activities, and community service projects are used to teach boys how to live the great commission and to love God and our neighbours. It is a very rich time, low in calorie, high in spiritual iron! You know the verse: "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens a friend." (Prov. 27:17) We gather in the church gym, as it was done when this men's ministry first started, decades ago! Don't miss out on your chance to start your Thursdays on the right foot!

New Life Ministry • 9:30 – 11:30 am

New Life Ministry is a support group for women held every Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. During our time together we fellowship with each other over lunch, study the Bible, have a sharing time, and finish the meeting with prayer.
As a support group, we share each others joy, and encourage each other when going through difficult times. We also enjoy getting involved with special projects that help others, make crafts, as well as inviting in special speakers.
Book of John Bible Study with Mary McMulkin • 1:30 – 3 pm

Our afternoon Bible Study will continue in the Book of John. We share insights on doctrine and prophecy... and find the message of the Gospel and Jesus in many Old Testament Scriptures. One goal is to increase our desire to study the Word and not just read it...to grow closer to Jesus and build a stronger relationship to Him, the author and finisher of our faith. All are welcome! Adult Handbell Choir • 7 – 8:30 pm

Adult Handbell Choir will start up this fall on Thursday, September 21st at 7:00 in the sanctuary. Setup starts at 6:30 and the group will meet at 7:00 pm. We will meet weekly on Thursdays until December 21st.

If you are suffering the loss of a loved one, GriefShare is being offered at Brunswick Street Baptist Church beginning Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 7 pm, in the Family Room on the 1st Floor of our Family Life Center.
Grief Share is a 14-week video series by Christian experts on grief and recovery, combined with support group discussions for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Friends Are Us Puppets • 6 – 7 pm

Have you ever wondered how a puppet show gets made? All middle and high school youth are invited to join Chris Graves this Friday evening at 6:00 pm for an hour of fun and fellowship while using our puppets.

Each Sunday evening, youth are invited to join Pastor Nikki and our youth group leaders for an evening of fun and fellowship. Doors open at 6 pm. Middle and high school youth groups will run separately and simultaneously.
