Souped Up Best Soup Ever

Directions

1 lb. lean ground beef

2 cups chopped onions

2-4 cloves of garlic, diced or 1 tsp garlic powder

Place the above ingredients in a large pot, and scrabble fry until meat is cooked.

Then add:

1-900ml container of beef broth

5-6 cups water, start with 5 cups and if you need more add the extra cup later

1-28oz./796 ml can diced tomatoes, undrained

1 ½ cups tomato sauce, or 398ml can

1 cup celery, chopped

1 cup carrots, thinly sliced

2 bay leaves

1-2 tsp salt

1/8 tsp cayenne

2 tsp chili powder

2 tsp basil

Simmer until the vegetables are tender, 10-15 minutes

Then add:

1½ cups raw pasta (you can also use cubed potatoes for a gluten free option)

6 cups of frozen mixed vegetables

Simmer for 15-20 more minutes until pasta is cooked.

This makes a tasty pot of soup and extra can be frozen for another meal!
