7. Muffin Ministry

On behalf of our brothers and sisters who make a weekly evening trek around the city to visit those sleeping rough, and the members of your Social Action Team, thank you ‘muffin makers’ for your faithfulness serving in this way.

Our schedule is now open for May and June 2024. We still require 3 dozen muffins per week. Please place 12 muffins, individually wrapped, in a large zipper locked bag, and label the bag “Street Ministry”. Don’t forget to include your name and the delivery date for which you signed up. You can place the labeled muffins in the upright freezer in the main kitchen.

Please click the link below to sign up to serve in this way or call the church office (506-458-8348) and our admin team will be pleased to do the online registration for you. Jesus spoke of offering cups of cold water in his name. Muffins, we believe, offer the same opportunity to bless others for him.

8. New Life Ministry: GHLC Camp Sponsorship

16. This Sunday’s Worship Gatherings: April 28

This Sunday, the worship service in the gym will be under the musical leadership of the Greenhouse Youth Band. The worship service in the sanctuary will be under the musical leadership of Gloria Tranquilla and David Steeves, with special music by the Men’s Ensemble.

Dr. Keith will be preaching in the sanctuary. Of his sermon, entitled After Easter Part 2 he writes, During the month of April we have embarked on a short two-part series entitled “After Easter.” Last time we explored the contours of the Easter story in Mark 12:1-12, a parable that Jesus tells as he enters the city of Jerusalem on his way to the cross. In this second and concluding installment of our series, we will reflect on the second coming of the Lord in light of the resurrection. Two passages from the New Testament will guide our thoughts. First, in Mark 13 there is poignant moment where Jesus addresses the question directly. Second, we will turn to a story in Matthew 25:1-13 where a central element in the plot is oil in the lamp. What is this parable about, how does it give us insight about the end times, and how does it equip to live wisely in our present cultural situation?

In the gym, we are so excited to be led by our youth this Sunday. Outside of the sermon, all other aspects of the service have been planned and prepared by our youth. After the worship sets, the youth will be heading down to Fellowship Hall for their own youth message. Pastor Ross will be preaching in the gym on the Parable of the Sower.

Whether in-person or online, be sure to join us this Sunday morning at 10:30 am.
