Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Meatballs

1 lb. lean ground beef

1 egg

¼ cup oatmeal

¼ cup onions, grated or finely chopped

½ - 1 tsp of salt

¼ - ½ tsp pepper

Mix well and rolls into small balls.

Place on a cookie sheet.

Bake in 400°–450° F oven for 10-15 minutes until browned.

Part way through, give the meatballs a shake on the pan to turn them over.

Sweet and Sour Sauce

Combine in a saucepan:

540 ml/19 oz can of pineapple, tidbits or chunks or 398ml can and ¾ cup of water

½ cup brown sugar

½ cup ketchup

¼ cup vinegar

Bring to a boil, add cooked meatballs

Shake 3 tbsp cornstarch and ¼ cup water or more together and add to the saucepan.

Stir until the sauce becomes thick.

Serve over hot rice and with a vegetable of choice.
