Introducing Pastor Nikki Leftley

Hailing from Barrie, Ontario, Nikki is a spring graduate of the Youth Ministry program at Redeemer University in Ancaster, Ontario.  Her smile brings light and her openness and thoughtfulness make her engaging in the extreme.  She has a passion for youth to grow in a deep relationship with Christ.

Of its Youth Ministry program, Redeemer identified the following goals:  How do we disciple the next generation in times of rapid technological and cultural change?  Redeemer's Religion - Youth Ministry program focuses on discipleship, outreach, and cultural engagement as a way to serve God and the youth that make up the church.  Here, you develop the character and skills to mentor and influence youth through ministry.

Nikki writes:  So many things excite me about working with youth, even more so in a church setting. I am excited about the conversations, seeing the development of their faith, seeing God working in their lives where they didn’t see possible, and them experiencing his presence. I am also looking forward to those hard questions, the ones that are going to even stump me, because, in those hard questions, growing happens. Honestly, I am excited to be a part of God’s Kingdom in such an amazing way of discipling and encouraging his children. There are so many things pulling our youth away from God currently, but I am excited to show the youth that even though things seem to be pulling us away, God is in every situation, he is present even when we do not think he is. There are many more things that draw me to work with youth but those are a few.

Please pray for Nikki as she prepares to partner with us in ministry, starting on Monday, October 18, 2021.
